Celebrate Life an Evening with Sara Groves

Special “Thank You” to Alisa Wismer for all of her beautiful artwork for this event! www.alisawismer.com.

To My Friends, Family and Local Businesses,

I am truly excited to see and share all that God is doing here at our little Farm on Zion Hill. Even though I grew up here at The Farm, I never expected this is where I would be raising my family. For those of you who do not know the Story of why we came to The Farm, it was to help care for my Mom who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 56. There is so much more to our little story and God’s plan for our family that if you would like to read a little more please visit our website here:http://www.meyersfarmbakery.com/our-story/. While my Mom is no longer with us, her light still shines bright here at The Farm in so many ways. From the rainbows over the fields to some of her favorite plants and trees blooming throughout the year, there is not a day that goes by that I do not think about her or remember what an amazing woman of God she was and still is.

Over the years, God has put on my heart to plan an event in The Barn to raise money for something she was so passionate about. What you may or may not know about my Mom was that she was the Director of the Crisis Pregnancy Center, now Crossroads Pregnancy Center, when I was growing up. She was extremely passionate about helping pregnant women carry their babies safely in a supportive environment. I remember in high school going with her to the Center to fold clothes and assist with any tasks that needed to be done to support these pregnant women. There were days when I would return from school to find women she had brought into our home to pray with and provide warmth and shelter during these difficult and uncertain times. I have fond memories of my Mom saying as I was growing up, “If they only had an ultrasound machine, maybe it would change their mind when they saw that tiny heart beating in those early weeks!” Crossroads now has an ultrasound machine, which would make my Mom so happy, however it is very outdated. A new machine would create a more comfortable experience for their clients, as well as better resolution for clear and more detailed scans, especially in the earlier weeks of pregnancy.

In order to raise money to assist Crossroads in this effort we have put together a beautiful concert, boutique auction and basket raffle. We will kick off Mother’s Day Weekend on Friday, May 10th, 2019 by Celebrating Life with Sara Groves. She is an amazing Christian artist and her music has always inspired me! Of course, we will have some of our “Meyers” Farm Famous baked goods and refreshments too! I can already hear my Mom singing praises from heaven! She loved worship music!

The cost of a refurbished ultrasound machine is $25,000.00. Our goal for this event is to raise enough money to help support Crossroads in making this purchase possible. Tickets for this event are $65 per person and will go on sale soon! Seating is limited so please make sure to buy your tickets early! If you cannot attend the event but would like to contribute please go to Crossroads Pregnancy Care to make an online donation. Make sure to mark your donation by selecting “Celebrate Life-Sara Groves.” All proceeds will go directly to Crossroads and are tax deductible. If you would like to be a Corporate Sponsor for this event please email me at info@thefarmbakeryandevents.com for more details.

We thank you in advance for your consideration in supporting this event. No donation is too small or large! If a monetary donation is not possible at this time but you would like to volunteer to help plan and work at the event please let us know! We would love to have each and every one of you involved.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart! We are truly excited to see God’s guiding hand, His protection and wisdom as we put this event in His hands!

God Bless, Becca Lynde
