Wow, I’m really not even sure where to begin. As I sit here and write this blog, so many emotions are running through my mind! One thing I know for sure is that God is absolutely amazing! Again and again I’m reminded how much more perfect His plans are than my own!

For those of you who are reading about this event for the first time, we hosted a concert in our barn in honor of my Mom! “Celebrate Life” featuring Sara Groves took place on Friday, May 10th, 2019. It was a special concert to raise money for a new ultrasound machine for Crossroads Pregnancy Care! This was an organization that was very near and dear to my Mom’s heart. We thought this would be the perfect event to combine her love of worship music with a fundraising event for Crossroads. After sharing this idea with friends and family, I had an amazing group of women come alongside of me to help plan and organize this event. Our goal was to raise $25,000 for Crossroads to make this purchase possible. As we joined together, we continually prayed that God would provide. That He would open hearts to help us in this effort.

I have to say that I did not realize how difficult planning this event would be. I had no idea how people would respond to our requests for donations. During a time when there is such a divide in our nation, my prayer was that people would see beyond that. This event was planned to honor my Mom. To “Celebrate” the amazing life that she led and to help support an organization that supports so many women in need. I am so excited to announce that due to the combined efforts of many people, we were able to raise $26,538.00 for Crossroads. I received an email yesterday from Walt Zamroz the Executive Director at Crossroads and he shared that the board approved the purchase of their new ultrasound machine. They are hoping to have the new machine in place by the middle of June! Praise the Lord!

I’m truly in awe of God’s army that helped pull this event together! The support of the Bergey family has been beyond incredible. Their love of God and their willingness to use their resources to support so many organizations is truly unbelievable. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart! We also had the support of so many other local businesses - Lacher Insurance, Weaver, Reckner & Reinhart Dental, Leatherman Plumbing, JET Upholstery as our Precious Sponsors! Lewis Dental, Harleysville Bank, Bracalente Manufacturing, Naugle Funeral Home, Moyer’s Chicks, The Hennessy Team, Horizon Signs, Buxmont CrossFit and Falk Funeral Home as our Thankful Sponsors! This event would not have been possible without each and every one of these businesses contributions!

A special thank you goes out to our Food & Beverage Sponsors - Speakeasy Coffee, OWowCow, Backyard Beans, Buxmont Party Rentals & Black River Farms Winery! Everything was absolutely delicious and there was a line around the room for that amazing ice cream. Thank you to Clearview Nursery for their flower basket donations! A special thank you to Sharon Shipe Photography for capturing all of the special moments that night! All of our basket donors - WOW - Thank you, thank you!

Lastly, I am beyond thankful to all our friends, family and volunteers for their support and love! I also have to thank everyone who purchased tickets to see Sara Groves and support this event. The day was absolutely better than I could have ever imagined. Sara and her band were unbelievable! Her music and story sharing throughout the evening was just beautiful. And I can only describe the weather as a blessing from our Heavenly Father above! For a day predicted with thunderstorms all day it turned out to be AMAZING! Only one hour before guests were arriving, a torrential downpour was happening at The Farm. At that moment, I stopped and said a prayer, “Please God, part the skies and let the evening be beautiful for our guests!” Right after that prayer, not only did the skies clear, but there was a beautiful rainbow that filled the sky all around the farm! The sun came shining down upon us and I knew at that moment God had orchestrated the most amazing night, better than I could have ever dreamed or imagined. Goosebumps filled my body and my eyes welled with tears as I looked at my family and at the sky filled with God’s beautiful promise. It was the first rainbow at The Farm this year. Not only is a rainbow a beautiful reminder of God’s promise, but the week prior to my Moms passing every day we came home from the nursing home, there was a beautiful rainbow over The Farm. What a special moment that night, a night we were remembering her, God sent a beautiful rainbow. I thank God for His continued presence in our lives and for all that He has done here at our Farm! We are forever grateful and are looking forward to seeing the next event He plans here at The Farm!

Again, thank you to so many and God Bless!

Warmly, Becca Lynde

Celebrate Life an Evening with Sara Groves

I am truly excited to see and share all that God is doing here at our little Farm on Zion Hill. Even though I grew up here at The Farm, I never expected this is where I would be raising my family. For those of you who do not know the Story of why we came to The Farm, it was to help care for my Mom who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 56.

Special “Thank You” to Alisa Wismer for all of her beautiful artwork for this event! www.alisawismer.com.

To My Friends, Family and Local Businesses,

I am truly excited to see and share all that God is doing here at our little Farm on Zion Hill. Even though I grew up here at The Farm, I never expected this is where I would be raising my family. For those of you who do not know the Story of why we came to The Farm, it was to help care for my Mom who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 56. There is so much more to our little story and God’s plan for our family that if you would like to read a little more please visit our website here:http://www.meyersfarmbakery.com/our-story/. While my Mom is no longer with us, her light still shines bright here at The Farm in so many ways. From the rainbows over the fields to some of her favorite plants and trees blooming throughout the year, there is not a day that goes by that I do not think about her or remember what an amazing woman of God she was and still is.

Over the years, God has put on my heart to plan an event in The Barn to raise money for something she was so passionate about. What you may or may not know about my Mom was that she was the Director of the Crisis Pregnancy Center, now Crossroads Pregnancy Center, when I was growing up. She was extremely passionate about helping pregnant women carry their babies safely in a supportive environment. I remember in high school going with her to the Center to fold clothes and assist with any tasks that needed to be done to support these pregnant women. There were days when I would return from school to find women she had brought into our home to pray with and provide warmth and shelter during these difficult and uncertain times. I have fond memories of my Mom saying as I was growing up, “If they only had an ultrasound machine, maybe it would change their mind when they saw that tiny heart beating in those early weeks!” Crossroads now has an ultrasound machine, which would make my Mom so happy, however it is very outdated. A new machine would create a more comfortable experience for their clients, as well as better resolution for clear and more detailed scans, especially in the earlier weeks of pregnancy.

In order to raise money to assist Crossroads in this effort we have put together a beautiful concert, boutique auction and basket raffle. We will kick off Mother’s Day Weekend on Friday, May 10th, 2019 by Celebrating Life with Sara Groves. She is an amazing Christian artist and her music has always inspired me! Of course, we will have some of our “Meyers” Farm Famous baked goods and refreshments too! I can already hear my Mom singing praises from heaven! She loved worship music!

The cost of a refurbished ultrasound machine is $25,000.00. Our goal for this event is to raise enough money to help support Crossroads in making this purchase possible. Tickets for this event are $65 per person and will go on sale soon! Seating is limited so please make sure to buy your tickets early! If you cannot attend the event but would like to contribute please go to Crossroads Pregnancy Care to make an online donation. Make sure to mark your donation by selecting “Celebrate Life-Sara Groves.” All proceeds will go directly to Crossroads and are tax deductible. If you would like to be a Corporate Sponsor for this event please email me at info@thefarmbakeryandevents.com for more details.

We thank you in advance for your consideration in supporting this event. No donation is too small or large! If a monetary donation is not possible at this time but you would like to volunteer to help plan and work at the event please let us know! We would love to have each and every one of you involved.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart! We are truly excited to see God’s guiding hand, His protection and wisdom as we put this event in His hands!

God Bless, Becca Lynde
