A Thanksgiving Reflection from The Farm

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is almost here. The days and years seem to be moving at the speed of light. Yet fall at The Farm remains one of my favorite seasons. It reminds us that the slower pace of winter is near—that soon the plants and flowers we’ve cared for all summer will fade away, but the memories created will last for years to come.

This season is always a reminder of why we do what we do, and why we’ve opened our Farm to so many couples and their families to celebrate life’s most precious moments. As Thanksgiving approaches, I’m reminded to slow down… to embrace each season, each moment, and to spend time around the table with those I love. Phones tucked away. Hearts present.

We live in a world where tomorrow is never promised, but we serve a God who is bigger than it all. My hope and prayer this Thanksgiving is that you draw near to Him, thanking Him for everything in your life—the good, the bad, and even the hard. His promises and His eternal Kingdom are greater than anything we face.

When my mom passed away, one of the last verses I read to her was from Revelation 7:15-17:

“Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.
Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them, nor any scorching heat.
For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd;
he will lead them to springs of living water.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

This Thanksgiving, I sing praises knowing that God’s Kingdom is near—and that all our hurts and pains will one day be a distant past. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support of our small business, we are forever grateful.
