Emily & Matt - The Ultimate Hosts

Now introducing Mr. & Mrs. Nesto ...
The Ultimate Hosts!
To know Emily & Matt is to know how passionate they are about curating impeccable vibes for any celebration. & here at The Farm, we had the highest honor of hosting multiple events for the two of them. We were able to witness their creative brains transform The Farm starting with their engagement photos, to Emily’s floral & perfectly Spring Bridal Shower, then with their Rehearsal Dinner honoring Matt’s Italian heritage and finally, with their elegant and classic Wedding Day.
To say we were blessed to host the Nesto’s is an understatement, we are already awaiting their return!

As Emily has been an employee of The Farm, it was no surprise to us that she had a vision for each day. However, as we sat down with both Emily & Matt to learn more about their relationship, turns out these two are the Ultimate Hosts. As a foundation of their relationship, hosting is something they bond over as a way to bring together their friends and family in so many fun and creative ways. A few weeks after their wedding, I sat down with the two of them to help learn more about their relationship. It was clear from the start, that these two were made for each other. Not only could you feel their love for each other, it was clear how much fun they have together. The way their passion for hosting brought them together is something out of a movie, after 6 months of dating the pair moved in together and threw their first themed party. Christmas in July, of course, as they moved in the dead of summer and couldn’t resist a good theme. From that day forward, any chance they could bring their friends and family together they would, all occasions always on theme! They have hosted so many loved ones for various holidays including, Friendsgivings, Galentine’s Days, they even create a full itinerary for when they have “out of towners” join them for Musikfest that stays on the Musikfest theme.
Of course, when they got engaged it was only natural for them to show off their expertise in planning. Luckily for us, The Farm was the beneficiary of those creative juices and we loved how they were able to transform each space in a unique way for their guests to enjoy.
Before the full wedding planning even began, we hosted their engagement photos. Here is where we really began to see Emily & Matt’s love for details and themes. They had a few different vibes to match which we loved seeing how easily they transformed The Farm into each vision. In the above photos, captured by Kassidy Leigh Photography, Emily & Matt embodied an Old Hollywood Glam moment in the first row of photos. As they borrowed a friend’s truck, perfected their our outfits and described the vibe to Kassidy, they nailed their first look. In the second row of photos, you’ll see Matt’s idea brought to life by sporting their favorite jerseys with our Harvest Barn as the backdrop. Finally, completing their shoot with Italian Summer inspiration in mind, they found the garden & did a final outfit change to capture a few more gorgeous shots.
We loved how with just a few changes, Emily & Matt were able to transcend The Farm into different vibes to match each style of their personalities that they wanted to capture in their engagement photos.

When it came time for Emily to host her bridal shower, we couldn’t wait to see how she would plan for a Springtime Shower. In true Emily fashion, she nailed the Tea Party vibes; perfected with her light blue linens for a touch of “something blue”, mismatched tea cups that we provided and an absolutely stunning “Build Your Own Bouquet” table designed by Flowers From 12th.
For Emily, it is the little touches that aid in crafting her vision. Whether that be the customized “Scattergories” since they are huge board game people, to the photos of her & Matt on the welcome table, the white framed table numbers, each detail is hand selected to help shift any atmosphere to match her style for that theme.
The Farm was happy to be a blank canvas for her first event here.
It was a day to remember for Emily & her guests as they celebrated in our Harvest Barn that had been transformed into the
Tea Party of her dreams.
Next up was their Rehearsal Dinner, that they hosted in our Harvest Barn. It was an epic pizza party to honor Matt’s Italian heritage and they even debuted “Cafe Nesto”. We helped with the red linen napkins to aid in pops of red to help craft that traditional pizzeria vibes while Emily & Matt created custom keychains to introduce Cafe Nesto, and personalized name cards to pull together more of the pizzeria vibes. The simplicity of our Harvest Barn allowed for Emily & Matt to highlight yet another fun theme which their friends and family fully embraced.
(See the third photo! - all captured by Grossmith Photography)
Finally for the main event, the Wedding! Hosted on April 6, 2024 it was the perfect combination of elegance, modern yet classic with rustic touches from our Farm. A few ways that Emily & Matt created this ambiance was through their all black wedding party attire, pops of wild flowers adorning their reception tables, tying everything back together with their black linen napkins was the perfect touch. We also loved that they used the antique china plates from their catering team, 2 Little Piggys BBQ. The gold finished flatware continued to tie in their elegant yet modern aesthetic which was a little detail they made sure to capture. When we all sat down to chat, we joked that Emily & Matt are the curators of vibes so it was no surprise when their photos came back that they were stunning!
We share all of this to not only take you through the transformation of our Farm into different styles but to honor Emily & Matt’s precious love story. As I mentioned they fell in love quickly while working at a local college but these two were meant to be. As Matt grew up in New Jersey, each holiday season his family would travel to PA for their Christmas Tree at the same tree farm each year. Turns out, that tree family is owned by Emily’s family. All of those years of Matt returning to the same place, these two were destined to fall in love. & we are so happy that they did!
It is always so magical to see our Seed Barn restyled to match each couples’ vision. One final moment that Emily & Matt shared with me when we sat down was how much their guests loved seeing how they decorated for each of their events. They had a few of their closest friends and family members that attend all three events & each time, they loved feeling as though they stepped into a different space. We cherish the way our space easily molds to each of our couples day.
As we witness Emily & Matt begin their next chapter, we cannot wait to see how the plan to come back to our Farm with even more visions.
What we do know is that these two will bring the vibes!

Marching into Wedding Season

Love is Blooming at The Farm Bakery & Events this Spring!
Spring is a season of blossoming love and cherished moments with loved ones. At The Farm, we believe in the magic of celebrating special occasions like baby showers, bridal showers, and weddings during this beautiful time of year and have been so blessed to have started hosting again. Surrounded by blooming flowers and the gentle warmth of the sun, these gatherings have been made even more special as friends and family came together to shower the soon-to-be parents or newlyweds with love and support. The air has been filled with joy and promises of new beginnings, creating unforgettable memories that will be treasured for years to come. It has been an honor to celebrate love, togetherness, and new chapters in life at The Farm, where every moment has been crafted with care and a touch of springtime magic.
We are beyond excited that we have officially started hosting events again this season The Farm! Each event has been nothing short of amazing, filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. We had the pleasure of hosting baby showers, bridal showers, & company events. We even had the opportunity to begin our season with our decor packages as you can see pictured above. We worked with Taylor, the Mama-to-be, to bring her vision to life for her baby shower she hosted here. Taylor leaned on our decor expertise to translate her vision into reality. All of her special touches, whether it was the ribbon bows on the candles, pops of colors in the greenery spray, or custom cookie favors every detail was carefully cultivated to help celebrate her newest blessing. We were then able to round out our month of celebrations by hosting an amazing Easter Service here at The Farm with Life Church. It was a wonderful day in our Seed Barn that was filled with the glory of God.
March brought us so many lovely days, including celebrating one of our own. Captured above is Emily’s bridal shower & luckily for us, Emily is part of The Farm Team so getting to celebrate her was truly a blessing. However, Emily’s celebrations didn’t start with her shower. We hosted her engagement photos, rehearsal dinner & most recently, her wedding! We have so many feels about hosting Emily & Matt that we can’t wait to share with you. Keep an eye out for their own blog post coming soon!

Next Season at The Farm Bakery & Events..
Hello there friends, we’ve missed blogging with you all! If you missed it, our Winter project this past year was our Home Decor & Marketplace. We truly enjoyed transforming our Harvest Barn into our unique Marketplace & of course, seeing all of your lovely faces each weekend. It was really special to have The Farm filled with friends and community members throughout a traditionally quiet time here. We enjoyed lots of baked goods, Duchess Soup & seeing our decor pieces find places to fit into all of your homes. Although, we are still praying for the next steps for our Home Decor & Marketplace we wanted to thank each & every person who joined us over these past few months. We loved being able to share The Farm with you in this capacity & we hope for more opportunities to serve our community. At this time, we are moving forward with our pre-order bakery system! We are so excited to still be able to have our baked goods ready for you throughout the week, so long as you place an order! We have some really yummy “Almost Spring” specials as well as our Easter Menu to place orders from. We do also offer a Weddings & Special Events Bakery Menu where you can find our dessert tables that make for a perfect sweet treat to end your next event! So, whether you are hosting a wedding, a birthday party, graduation or any type of special event, we hope to help celebrate with you all. As always, with any questions on our bakery menu please feel free to email us directly at bakery@thefarmbakeryandevents.com
Yup, you did read that part right! Our Easter Menu is live! As Easter is early this year on March 31st, we wanted to be sure to have our menu ready. Enjoy our Springtime favorite pies such as Toasted Coconut Custard Pie, Lemon Meringue Pie, Chocolate or Coconut Cream Pie & of course, a Strawberry Cheese Pie! Don’t miss your chance to enjoy one of these delicious pies and more!
Waiting on wedding season..
It is about that time of the year where we can’t wait to start hosting again! As we wrapped up The Home Decor & Marketplace last weekend, it is finally time to start hosting again! We have our very first event of the season this weekend & we could not be more excited. There is something about hearing everyone’s laughter, hearing the music selections you all make, & watching the pure joy of celebrating love that makes The Farm come back to life. As we enjoyed sunshine the past couple of days, it is starting to feel more & more like hosting season. Each Winter season we have a few refresh projects. This year we had our dance floor upgraded. While we cherished the original barn flooring, it was well loved. After 6 wedding seasons filled with dancing, it was time for a refresh. We also are giving our Bridal Suite a little refresh, just a little extra love to keep it feeling fresh! Not to worry, the green couch stays! :)
We couldn’t be more excited for this upcoming season of love. As the days get longer & each bird chirps a little more, we know it is right around the corner. We can’t wait to have The Farm filled with friends, families & loved ones celebrating!
See you all so soon!
A special “Thank you” to Lytle Photography for the photos!
Happy Almost Spring, everyone!
Wishing you all the best,

A little Weekday Magic: A Guide to Hosting a Weekday Wedding
Before the hectic holiday season begins, we want to pause & reflect on what truly matters during this time of year.. celebrating with our loved ones. As we are so privileged to witness enormous amounts of love and joining of families & loved ones so often here at The Farm, we wanted to be able to share a little piece of that with you. Often times we see celebrations dedicated to certain days of the year or time frames of the week, it is so important to cherish the ones you love as often as you can. We hope throughout the story of one of our couples, Chris & Tara, you will be reminded that love can & should be celebrated no matter the day of the week or year.
A guide to hosting on a weekday
Tara & Chris hosted a really special weekday wedding that was filled with love, laughter & loved ones. Tara noted that one of her most favorite memories of the day was celebrating with their closest friends and family & feeling so loved. In her words, seeing everything come together and having a beautiful day is what created another one of her favorite memories. As we all know, planning a wedding can tend to get a little overwhelming so seeing Tara & Chris enjoy their vision was really special. We chatted with them to get a little first hand experience and advice about hosting a weekday wedding & we hope you will be reminded that each day can be used to celebrate with our Guide on Hosting A Weekday Wedding!
Step one: Plan early
When chatting with Tara & Chris more about why they chose a Weekday Wedding, one of their top reasons this worked for their family was the price point. While the price helped, they said hosting on a weekday “was actually nice to mix it up & just do something unconventional and different.” However, their top piece of advice would be to start planning early, for example “make sure to send Save the Dates & Invites in a timely manner” so that your loved ones can also plan in advance. Another amazing idea Tara & Chris had was planning for a weekday in the summer so that their kids & others would be off of school. This way they could have a bit more flexibility & actually be here for their special day. Not only did kids have a bit more flexibility during this time but the adults as well.
After deciding that a Weekday Wedding was best for their immediate family, they decided they quickly needed to check in with their bridal party. Tara & Chris made sure to talk to their potential bridal party early about hosting during the week. They advised to check in prior to officially asking so that “[their bridal party] wouldn’t feel obligated if they couldn’t make it.” If you couldn’t already tell, Tara & Chris truly demonstrate the most consideration for their loved ones as they took so many steps to help ensure an easy Weekday Wedding for all.
Step two: Location
When hosting a Weekday Wedding, there a bit more factors to consider! If you are thinking of celebrating on a weekday, Tara & Chris suggest finding a venue that is local for your guests would be a great help. They thought that “asking people to travel really far mid week wouldn’t have been fair” and so finding somewhere that doesn’t require much travel would be amazing. As a great meeting point for folks traveling from the Philadelphia area, the Lehigh Valley or even New Jersey, The Farm makes for a great meeting point.
Step three: vendors
Another thing to consider when hosting during the week would be your vendors! Not only would you want to ensure their availability but Chris & Tara found that rates might be adjusted for weekday events. Here at The Farm, we do offer weekday pricing for our weddings so other vendors might have that as well. Tara & Chris hosted an intimate group of close family and friends to celebrate their love here & were joined by The Munchie Machine as their catering team. It was a special day to witness, which was perfectly captured by Anna Claire Photography. & of course, wouldn’t have been complete with out fun dancing with tunes produced by PSK Entertainment.
why the farm?
We know selecting the perfect place for your special day can be overwhelming. Tara & Chris had some insight on how choosing The Farm came to be. They said they had “fallen in love with The Farm from the very beginning" & that “the scenery is absolutely stunning.” It was important to them to find a place that fit their vibe. They knew with hosting a weekday wedding that it could be “more low key, chill, & comfortable” when hosting during the middle of the week. What we love so much about The Farm, is that we see it easily transform to fit a couples’ vibe.
thank you!
To Tara & Chris, for sharing special moments they had here at The Farm. It is so special to us that you were able to create unforgettable memories such as “personal vows to each other” or “having [your] oldest son, Max walk [Tara] down the isle to meet Chris & [their] younger son, Leo.” It's moments like these that make hosting so special, no matter when it happens! We hope that seeing the love celebrated with inspire you to hug your loved ones a little tighter this weekend & remind each other that something so special should & could be celebrated on any day of the week.
A special THANK YOU to all of the vendors that helped create this lovely day!
